Moving Google Bookmarks
Google Bookmarks only lets you export your bookmarks to a file (called GoogleBookmarks.html). The Google Toolbars for Internet Explorer and FireFox however will let you import bookmarks, so you can use either of them as an indirect way to move or copy your Google Bookmarks from one Google account to another.
So depending on your browser:
Import Bookmarks to Internet Explorer 8:
- Click File then Import and Export then Import from a File
- The Import/Export Wizard will open up, click Next
- Select Favorites then click Next
- Find and select your bookmarks file e.g. GoogleBookmarks.html and then click Next
- Select the folder where you would like to place the imported favorites. Click Next then Finish.
Import Bookmarks to Firefox 3:
- Click Bookmarks menu then Organise Bookmarks
- Click Import and Backup then Import HTML and then From an HTML file then Next
- Find and select your bookmarks file e.g. GoogleBookmarks.html then click Open
Finally on the Google Toolbar, make sure you a logged-in the your Goole account the click Bookmarks, scroll to the bottom of the list and select Import Firefox Bookmarks or Import IE Favorites.
Note: Obviously if Internet Explorer or FireFox have any bookmarks already saved in them these will be moved too.
